I'm grumpy today. well, i have been all week.. although i have no real energy to be grumpy. I have pneumonia and am on 4 diff meds for 2 weeks. I take them, i do the damn breathing treatments and i still feel weak and ill and my lungs hurt. It sucks and it is making me grumpy. But when i get grumpy, i get even more tired which in turn makes me even more grumpy. I try to put a smile and positive face on for kyan cos his sweetness and smiles makes me less grumpy, but then i get tired again which doers what? Yes...say it with me...makes me grumpy! UGH! I'm borrowing Stu's tank for a bit Tanker

Hope you feel better soon! Perhaps now would be a good time to take some sleeping tablets? Also, write all those 'grumpy' letters you wish you could (but usually feel too polite to do) Wink

Just to prove that I'm not always grumpy. I went to the little store where I buy my coffee and smokes yesterday as normal but I also needed a new lighter. Normally they have solid colored ones but when I got to the counter they only had some kind of decorated ones. So I decided to have some fun with the nice girls behind the counter and asked one of them to pick out a pretty one for me. Once both girls stopped laughing at the thought of me asking for a pretty lighter one of them picked out a very nice pink one with flowers on it. Smile It's always nice to brighten someone else's day and hope someone will do the same for me.

Oh and by the way as I looked at my new lighter, I thought that it would actually make a good tattoo. Upon peeling off the warning label I discovered that that is exactly what it is, a tattoo design.

Now on the other hand. As most of you know it's a holiday weekend here and it seems like most of the arrogant asses have arrived here for it. I tried to go to the market on my way to work to get soda because I knew it would be busy by the time I get out of work. That didn't really work out so well because I couldn't find a parking spot... at 0645. Sad

Now we have almost 600 customers and take care of 400 boats but today it seems that the 6 customers who have appeared all seem to think they are our only customers and we should drop everything we are doing to help them figure out how to start their own boat. I have a feeling that it's going to be a very long weekend. I'll be hiding in my little basement apartment avoiding the lot of them if I'm not working... and no I won't be answering the phones.

And my finally thought, how stupid do you think you look when you walk into a place of business that is obviously open and start yelling out "Hello!!!" just because you don't see someone standing right there?

Okay rant over, I may be fine now. Thanks for playing along.

Not really anything new to us all but now it's official. We're gaining ground on the young people.....

"It has always been said that gaming is for kids and teenagers, we've listened to this mantra our whole lives, however it seems that things are about to change.

A recent study released by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has revealed that the average age of gamers is now 37 years old.

Some other interesting facts can be found below.
- 72% of American households play computer or video games
- 29% of gamers were over the age of 50
- 42% of gamers are female
- 55% of gamers play on their phones or handheld device."

Fact is this, gamers may start out as young, but end up older like us, so yes the avg. age is going to go up. Smile

If 42% are female why does every teenager I meet in combat react like I'm an alien? Laughing

Being rank 5 in MOHA made me rather popular when I started out, when any player realised I was female I immediately had a friends invite! (Not to mention a few dubious messages often too) Laughing

I only keep real friends on my friends list, I have about 60 now instead of the 100 always when I first started playing

So driving to work this morning, besides almost being hit 3 times by idiots not paying attention or talking on their phones, I had to dodge a half dozen bicycles tooling down the road. Normally I don't mind and give them space and pass when it's safe for everyone but this one really irks me because since I moved to this little island we have spent somewhere in the area of $12 million to build bike paths. The road I was on happens to have one of the newest ones running along side it. I'm assuming that these people are training for the upcoming tri-athalon (which will be shutting down 1/3 of the island next Saturday afternoon... that's another story) I have been told by the serious racing bikers that they don't like the bike paths because they can't keep up their pace with going around walkers and dogs and such. I checked as I was trying not to hit said bikers and guess what? I didn't see a single person walking on those paths at 0730 this morning, so get off you high horse and use the bike paths we built for you, please, and get the hell off the main roads!!!

Rant over....

Perhaps you should mention this to your local newspaper Shane? It seems a very valid point. Maybe you should also mention it was your money that helped pay for the cycle paths, and you pay tax to use the road too. I'm sure if you started driving on the cycle path because it was inconvenient to use the road (as you had to go round lorries and bikes etc.) they'd be up in arms and there'd be consequences too Wink

I'm Grumpy at the moment as I keep getting headaches which i was told could happen a few weeks after my Back Op (5% chance) and if so may mean I need more Surgery to correct it!
Am seeing the consultant this week for my followup consultation so can discuss the symptoms but the more i worry about it the more i cant sleep properly which can give you headaches anyway!

That's no good Dazz. One of the office girls had back surgery 8 months ago and she still can't work a full day because of the pain. On the up side I didn't have to dodge bikes on the way to work as they were on the other side of the road this morning, I merely had to dodge the cars trying to get around them.

I'm kicking this one back up to the top. Watching the news this morning and they are making it sound like the world is going to flood, we're into out 3rd day of clouds or rain now. Somehow they seem to forget we went nearly 6 weeks without rain and it was all doom and gloom about how dry and dangerous it is out there. Enough drama, just tell me it's going to rain again today!!
