You should share your views with the local lifesaving museum, it seems they don't have the full story Wink

Failing them changing their mind, I'd get in touch with a local journalist, they love stories like this Very Happy

Today's subject changing business hours without notice....

For the past 10 years when we need something in a hurry I can have it flown over the next day, instead of going through regular shipping, and it was easy enough to stop by before or after work and pick it up as they were open 7-5, at least, in the summer they were open later.

So this week I go after work to pick up a package like I have been doing for a decade. There's a sign on the door that says as of last Monday they are now open Tuesday through Friday 8-4. 1 wasted trip. So I'm supposed to be at work at 8 but I let everyone know I'll be late because I have to pick this up. I'm there at 7:55 and wait.... until 8:15 when they finally decide to open the doors. More time wasted.

Now I'm used to hours changing for the winter. We do it here but we put up notices and send out emails 2-4 weeks in advance. My suppliers do the same. But we had been out there 4-5 times in the past week and nobody saw any kind of notice that they were changing hours. Piss poor planning on somebodies part and inconivient as hell to those of us who work 8:00-4:30. So now if we need something on short notice I'll have to waste 45 minutes of my workday to drive out there and back to get it while they are open.

Look on the bright side Shane, that's 45 minutes of your day driving and not having to work - I'd do it as often as possible Very Happy

Thought I had a piano mover and tuner sorted for a week Thursday. The mover is fine, but apparently you need to leave a piano 3 weeks after moving before it can be tuned. So now that's delayed Rolling Eyes

I was woken up at 0655 this morning, just because 'the clocks downstairs are all wrong' Rolling Eyes

Guess I should have told Rosie the clocks went back last night, ho hum.

Hope everyone else remembered to do it too.

So why is it, after putting the clocks forward, I still wake up at 6.10am on a Sunday?!

Still, nice to have daylight and hear the birds singing first thing for a change I guess.

Hope you all remembered to change your clocks.

Okay tied in with my other post, we have literally miles of paths set up just for bicycles here. Every time they cross a road there is a stop sign on said path for them to stop and check before crossing. So why is it that cyclists rarely do this? I have to stop at those signs in my car or face a fine. Most of the time they don't even look, feeling that they are more important, and I'm the one trying not to kill anyone.... and don't let me get started on helmets. I will say all the parents I saw today riding with their children also had helmets on. Lead by example people!!

Argh dont get me started on cyclists! Espesh in London!
It really annoys me when cyclists break road laws as they think that they dont apply to them when they actually do!
And then there is the ones that cycle on the pavement!!!

I feel grumpy today. After playing nursemaid to Rosie for three weeks it seems she's given me her bug now, that's gratitude for you.

So far 3 members of the family have developed Pneumonia (one double Pneumonia and ended up in hospital) from it, and another has died. I guess I'll be phoning the doctors for an appointment asap this morning.

Still feeling grumpy. The antibiotics have stopped the bug getting worse I guess, but I'm only getting about 4 hours sleep each night, and that's making me very tired.

I don't feel like eating much, and get so bored doing nothing. I wish I could get on and do lots of things, but just don't have the energy.

I have to go to work tomorrow, but still feel like poop. I just hope this thing is over soon. Feeling very fed up right now  Sad

So, PS4 sent off a week ago, hope we get one that works soon. So ridiculous they put out defective machines in the first place, it's not as if they did it in a rush!
