Even more darned annoying is those idiots who know exactly where the switch is, and seem to think it's compulsory to use them when it's just dark!

Why is it the people who moan 'ooo, it's too hot, I don't like it' in the summer are always the ones who start bleating about how horrible it is when it's cold in the winter! Rolling Eyes

Top tips:

In the summer - wear bugger all, get a fan, and air conditioning if possible, use a water mister if necessary and take cooler showers as often as possible.

In the winter, put another jumper on, turn up the heating or go to bed. Cool

If our climate really isn't to your liking there's an easy resolution - MOVE!

I'm grumpy because I have another blood test today, just to confirm the results of the last one Rolling Eyes - it wouldn't be so bad, but I'm rather stone like in my blood giving ability, and the surgery have a new (and not so good) phlebotomist.

I'm also grumpy because I have rather a lot of work to do at the moment, it makes the day pass quickly, but nobody seems to think it's tricky doing 4 things at once sometimes

Okay just to set the scene. We pulled 165 boats over the last 4 days, and have 293 boats on the property. There is one lane to drive through so today to keep traffic down while we made space, we put orange traffic cones across the drive way at the start of the property. I put them out there myself, so I knew to get by you either had to get out or drive over them.

So what kind of genius does just that to drive up through heavy equipment and fork trucks to ask if we're open? Is it me or do some people just not have a clue as to what is going on around them? Rolling Eyes

So I was driving home from work yesterday and after following a bicycle along a fairly busy street I noticed the girl riding it was talking on her cell phone, which explained her ugly driving style. Now over here most states have made it illegal to talk on a cell phone at all, some let you use a hands free headset but that tells me that it is unsafe to drive and talk on your phone. So who would think that it's a good idea to ride a bike and talk on the phone at the same time and why?

So I seem to have caught a nasty sort of cold in all my travels. I stop by the shop to pick up some medicine but just spent 20 minutes trying to get the damn pills out of the little package. I know we don't want people tampering with medicine but do we really have to make it impossible to get into the package to do this?

And yes there might have been some cussing involved in this episode Sad

You need to have a child around, if it says child proof, that means a child can get into it and a parent can't Shocked

Top Top: You should cheat and decant tablets into easy to open pots prior to illness. Put in medicine cabinet, and label accordingly.

Everyone feels feeble when they're ill, never a good time to try to open childproof caps

Today I stopped at the gas station and noticed that the new windmill that was put up to supplement the school's power was actually in operation today. I mention this because when it went up the neighbors were all up in arms about all the noise it was going to make. I was 150' away and didn't hear a thing, the gas pump was louder. Some people just aren't happy unless they have something to complain about it seems. Rolling Eyes

Now we have a date for the royal wedding next year everyone's just twigged if you take a certain 3 days off work at the end of April you actually have 11 days off.

One mad rush at work today to get your name down for those 3 days off first, so much for consulting each other and teamwork. Thicky nearly jumped on the boss's lap as soon as she found out. She didn't work it out for herself of course though lol.

Personally I'm happy to work those 3 days, it'll be quiet, no Thicky too, and I still have 3 days more holiday to take when it's nice and sunny (and busy) then too
Very Happy

26th, 27th and 28th April. If you take those 3 days off work you're off for 11 days.

Re: Grumpy old gamers

This morning as I was getting my coffee, I was reminded of this one. A young man walked into the store with a baseball cap on backwards. Personally I rarely wear a hat but when I do, I wear it in the way it was intended to be worn. Who thought it would be cool and look good to wear a hat backwards, or worse yet off to the side? Next thing you know they'll be wearing their pants and shirts backwards. Another trend I'll be avoiding...
