this is me part 2....

i have been gaming with you here for a while now and consider you friends. i am quite a private person and tend to keep things to myself but as friends i feel i can tell some private things about me and trust you all not to treat me any different.

before any of you get excited no its not anything sleezy...

the simple fact is i suffer from depression, recently its been effecting me quite badly, at some points spending a full day in bed just wanting to shut the world out. i tend to cover these things up when playing with you because 1 you dont need nor want to hear my problems and 2 its actually really fun playing with you all and it kinda helps me forget everything for a while.

the only person here who i have previously had any discussion with regarding this is jess. this is simply because she was the 1st person i really got to be friends with back in the cod hq days. thank you for some of your kind words jess, you have really helped on the odd occasion i felt the need to reach out.

please dont view this post as me wanting sypathy or me thinking i am special in any way. far from it. infact during this time i have learned just how many people are affected by depression. several of you probably have come across it in your lives. be it you yourself or a friend or loved one.

from what i have learned from the doctor depression is a chemical imbalance first and foremost. yes we let things effect us more than others might but the chemicals in the brain dont run as they should. so as a result some nights you might see me as almost hyperactive, laughing and joking with the best of them when other nights i will barely say a word.

thanks for taking the time to read this and in doing so getting to know me a little better.

so in closing..... im not crazy, im just mental.

Smurf that took some guts to lay yourself bare like that, you have my respect sir.

You, sir are a brave soul and I commend you on that, and I'm like you also as not a real easy person to open up to other people. I consider everyone that i have talked to on here as friends also, it took some warming up to the idea building relationships or friendships of people via the computer.

Just keep your head up and get bogged down by the little things, and there is family that cares about you and friends that are all around you also.
