Not good Ryan, hope you're on the mend quickly.

On the up side though - 3 days of liquid diet means you'll lose weight (I'm presuming like the rest of mankind you'd be happy with this) and be able to poop through the eye of a needle lol!

Let's see, broken leg playing HS ball, heart attack in 94, lost 1/3 of the pump side. Other than that I'm fine and dandy, till 40+ years of smoking takes it's toll someday.

At last, i have my acupuncture appointment tomorrow, it was meant to be in April. i hope the course works or eases the pain because shoulder and side of face bloody hurt!! plus the 2 hours of sleep a night isn't helping. sorry rant over.
then maybe i will be able to hold the ps controller properly instead of having to use my chin to play games... The Medical Thread - Page 6 4139

I was thinking of wrapping her in bubble wrap and getting her to stay in her room. I could quickly open the door to push meals in, and she would be allowed to venture out to the bathroom when needed lol!

I found this little gem, it's really worth watching Exclamation

Latest advice suggests if you feel you're having a heart attack, you should take deep breaths and cough as hard as possible. If you have asparin handy take one right away, even if this means chewing it. Keep taking deep breaths and coughing hard for as long as you can.

Obviously, calling 999 is essential, but if you're alone and not near a phone the deep breath then heavy cough effort will keep you going for a lot longer than you'd usually have until help arrives.

Hopefully none of us will ever need to know this, but maybe, just maybe you'll be glad of this info one day Very Happy

I've just completed a 3 day first aid course, and am now certified to kill or cure anyone of almost anything Laughing

Observations from the course:
The floor is a long way down the more you have to lay on it
The floor gets harder every time you kneel or lay on it
Putting on surgical gloves over rings is not always easy
I've found parts of my body I'd forgotten exist, as they all ached like mad now.

The latest bug...
Rosie managed to get a bug while we were away and has kindly passed it around it seems. For those of you due to get this I'll give you a warning of how it goes...

First, you feel like you have a prickly grape in your throat.
Day 1 - you have a sore throat, you cough quite a bit, you need to blow your nose fairly often and seem lethargic.
Day 2 - you 're coughing, very sore nose and throat, ache all over and feel tired.
Day 3 - you feel like total crap, but now your nose looks bright red too.
Day 4 - same as yesterday, still looking like Rudolph as well Rolling Eyes - you need sleep!

I'll let you know how Day 5 goes when I get to it.

Top tips with this one, get in some Lemsip Max and Night Nurse Exclamation
