Anticipated Games

So a couple of things that came out late yesterday. First the good news, Watchdogs is looking to be setting some records based on pre-orders...

Now for the bad news, The Division is delayed until 2015.

They just didn't want to put out against such a strong title.

Wolfenstein this week. I remember playing this many, many years ago on PC. This could be interesting if nothing else.

Wolfenstein, The New Order... unofficial first look review. As I said, I played this many many years ago on pc. This version brings back some of those old memories, picking up the armour, bullets, and first aid all look the same. Blasting away with dual wield weapons brings back fond memories. And that's about where it stops.

This game looks great, plays well, and 3-4 hours flew by last night before I even knew it. Oh and that has only gotten me through the first 2 chapters. The intro took over an hour to play and there are 15 chapters I think.

Now I thought this was going to be a silly Bulletstorm sort of game as the original kind of was but it really isn't. Yes there are some characters and unbelievable things but does that really matter, it's a game. The story so far is that your character and a small group of troops are trying to defeat an evil Nazi general but that doesn't work out so well and though you do escape, you are basically a vegetable for the next 16 years but when you come to, you discover the Nazis have won the war and rule the world. Your mission is to join the resistance and defeat the evil general. Getting there is a different story though.

Now you can go through this game different ways, quiet, loud, whatever. Though it is fairly linear game there are different routes you can take for most of it. So far I like it, even if I did seem to die more often than I should have by not really understanding what I was supposed to be doing.
