Re: Bank Holidays
The chillifest was more of a chilli mini-market really. Nice to have a few tasters and we ended up with 2 new sauces to use
Rosie even bought a jar with her own money, and that's from a girl who 'doesn't like chilli'
Shame the chilli beer stand was missing, but chilli coke was unusual.

I heard that red wine and Coke was supposed to be nice? Chilli with Coke just sounds like Dr Pepper.Jessica wrote:The chillifest was more of a chilli mini-market really. Nice to have a few tasters and we ended up with 2 new sauces to use

They had 2 varieties of chilli coke, one was ok, the other was really odd, when I tried it the bubbles went straight up my nose and I felt an odd tingling/burn between my eyes at the top of my nose
Rosie's chilli sauce went nicely with the steak we had for tea last night

Re: Bank Holidays
I know Halloween isn't a bank holiday, but as our next one isn't until Christmas I think it should be
Anyone have something nice planned for this evening
I'm working

Re: Bank Holidays
I carved a Pumpkin last night to put outside to signal the Trick or Treaters but like last year my other half will most likely have given out all the candy before i managed to get home from work.
Other than that i have nothing planned other than perhaps watching a movie or playing GTA V
Oh and i deffo think it should be a Bank Holiday

We put a skull out on the front door with red eyes that lit up and flickered lol. Rosie wasn't here this time, but hubby did hand out quite a few bags of sweets, and a few bags of crisps for a change too. I had to work

So, a whole 4 days off for us starting tomorrow
Anyone have something special planned?
Personally, I'm going to be doing as much gardening as possible!

Re: Bank Holidays
I have all my Kids staying this weekend.
Taking the Littleun to watch some Footie tomorrow then Saturday is a lounge about day tho we may go to the Cinema if everyone can agree on a movie.
Sunday its all over to my Parents with all my other family for an Easter Egg Hunt plus BBQ if hot or Roast if raining! Will be dropping all the Kids back home on Sunday night so then Monday is all about me and some much needed relaxation!!

Re: Bank Holidays
Sounds busy Daz. You should swap your Saturday/Sunday ideas though, an Easter Egg hunt in the pouring rain wouldn't be much fun

Its confirmed we are having a Roast now and the Easter Egg Hunt may have to take place inside the house then if its raining.

Re: Bank Holidays
That's a shame Daz, good luck with it, I'm sure you'll have fun anyway. Good old British weather, dry and sunny all week, Sunday it's due to pour down lol.
I got lots done in the garden yesterday, might just make a quick start out there really soon before the rain comes in.

Re: Bank Holidays
Ooo, Shane, how can you say that?! You guys in the USA get more Bank Holiday days off than the rest of the world. It seems there's a holiday day for 'Obama takes a shower' and everything
Never mind Aiden, perhaps you can make up for it in the summer, the weather will be better then anyway.
I had a great weekend, got lots done in the garden, caught up with a friend, and managed to get time to relax too, bonus.
I think we should have a long weekend every month!

Re: Bank Holidays
Another bank holiday - yippee, I wish we had more of these, especially later in the year.
So, today I'm gardening, and getting all my chores done. Tomorrow gym am and meeting an old friend pm. Monday off out for the day with friends, barbeque and bouncy castle etc. for the kids to have fun with. Looks like a busy weekend, bet it'll fly by. Just hope I get everything I want to done.
What's everyone else up to

Re: Bank Holidays
We had a great time at the fun fair, so good Rosie fell asleep in the car on the way home lol.
Nice meal when we were out. Plenty of gardening done, and sunshine for all 3 days too, wow.
Roll on the end of the month, I rather like Bank Holidays

Re: Bank Holidays
So, another bank holiday - at last. This is it until Christmas now though
I'm going to be doing some gardening, and trying to sort some of our spare room out, exciting stuff lol.
What does everyone else have planned for this weekend?
